“Two Lives. Back to Lebanon” – fragment from the retrospective exhibition
March 29 – September 25, 2013
The exhibition “Two Lives. Back to Lebanon” represents a fragment from the retrospective exhibition “Haroutiun Galentz: Two Lives”, held in Beirut in November 2012, devoted to the artist’s work period in Lebanon.
The exhibition addresses Galentz’s young years in Lebanon that comprises 20 years of the artist’s life, i.e. 1926-1946, before his permanently settling down in Armenia.
The period spent in Lebanon was very productive and comprehensive for the artist. The main focus of the exhibition “Two Lives. Back to Lebanon” was to introduce the viewers to Galentz’s really unknown monumental sculpture, colour paintings and graphics, including the printing book graphic.
